Requirements
- Strong experience with Oracle Database administration, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
- Deep knowledge of Oracle architecture, internals, storage, and optimizer behavior
- Hands-on experience with on-premises Oracle, Exadata, and cloud environments
- Strong experience with RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery
- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, execution plans, indexing, AWR/ASH, and database diagnostics
- Experience with database migrations and platform transitions
- Familiarity with OCI, AWS, Azure, or VMware
- Knowledge of Data Pump, RMAN Duplicate, GoldenGate, or AWS DMS
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, database monitoring, and alerting
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, Ansible, or PL/SQL
- Good understanding of database security, access controls, encryption, auditing, patching, and compliance
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve Oracle databases across on-premises, Exadata, and cloud environments
- Support data migration projects involving clients, transactions, and related data
- Build and maintain highly available and resilient database environments
- Manage backup, recovery, restore testing, and disaster recovery processes
- Monitor database health, performance, capacity, and availability
- Automate DBA processes and administrative tasks
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, migrations, and platform transitions
- Troubleshoot and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, schemas, indexes, and database performance
- Support migrations between on-premises, Exadata, OCI, AWS, Azure, and other platforms
- Work with development and engineering teams on database design and application performance
- Partner with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams on database operations and standards
- Maintain database security, access controls, auditing, and compliance requirements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture documentation, and recovery procedures
