Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience developing production-grade backend applications using Java.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and modern backend development practices.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, software design patterns (MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, Builder), and clean code principles.
- Experience designing and developing scalable backend applications and microservices-based architectures.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, including API security and integration with external systems.
- Hands-on experience working with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar event-driven technologies.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL using Spring Data JDBC, JPA, or similar persistence frameworks.
- Experience writing Unit Tests and Integration Tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and distributed application design.
- Experience working with Docker and containerized environments such as OpenShift.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and development tools including GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle, and Artifactory.
- Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS is considered a plus.
- Strong focus on secure coding practices and software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new technologies and engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Participate throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design to implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and development teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services following modern software engineering principles.
- Build and maintain applications based on microservices architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
- Implement integrations with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Develop secure, maintainable, and well-tested code while following engineering standards and best practices.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to maintaining high code quality across the team.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
- Support CI/CD processes and collaborate with DevOps teams during deployment activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions, software design, and continuous process improvements.
- Provide Level 3 production support, investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to long-term platform stability.
