Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on automation experience
- Strong programming skills in C# and experience working with the .NET ecosystem
- Practical experience creating automated checks for web applications and REST APIs
- Experience with Playwright or a comparable browser automation framework
- Familiarity with BDD approaches, Gherkin, and frameworks such as Reqnroll
- Good understanding of test automation architecture, reusable test components, and OOP principles
- Strong SQL skills and confidence working directly with application data during testing and investigations
- Experience validating API contracts, responses, integrations, and test data
- Familiarity with assertion libraries such as FluentAssertions
- Experience working with source control and integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows
- Comfortable combining automated and manual testing depending on the feature and risk involved
- Ability to analyze complex issues, reproduce defects, and communicate findings clearly
- Experience working in Agile development teams
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve automated testing solutions covering critical application functionality and user journeys
- Establish effective test approaches for new features by assessing requirements, risks, dependencies, and expected behavior
- Validate backend services and integrations through API-level testing and data checks
- Use SQL and other diagnostic techniques to investigate unexpected application behavior and support defect analysis
- Perform exploratory and manual testing where automation is not the most effective approach
- Work alongside developers throughout the development process to identify quality risks and prevent defects
- Maintain reliable and reusable automated test suites as the product evolves
- Connect automated validation with the team’s delivery pipelines and help ensure tests provide useful feedback during releases
- Review test results, investigate failures, and distinguish between product defects, test issues, and environmental problems
- Contribute to improving QA processes, automation practices, and overall test coverage
- Support release validation and help ensure new functionality meets agreed quality expectations
- Take ownership of testing activities for assigned features while working closely with the wider engineering team
