Requirements
- Solid experience developing or maintaining automated testing frameworks for web applications.
- Strong understanding of backend testing, REST APIs, software quality assurance and test design.
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Symfony, Spring, FastAPI or equivalent technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Appium or similar automation tools.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing automated test scripts.
- Experience with manual and/or automated API testing, including integrations, business logic and edge cases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins or equivalent, and Unix-like environments.
- Understanding of web, Android and iOS testing, including responsive and cross-platform behavior.
- Experience with debugging, root cause analysis, regression testing and test coverage.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Interest in AI-assisted testing, including AI-generated test cases and self-healing automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive, quality-first mindset.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and scale automated test suites for backend services, REST APIs, web applications and mobile platforms.
- Design and execute API and integration tests covering business logic, data flows, error handling and edge cases.
- Build and improve reusable testing frameworks and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers and the QA Lead on requirements, feature planning, test coverage and quality strategy.
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes and support defect resolution and production-quality improvements.
- Perform manual and exploratory testing when needed, including regression and cross-platform testing.
- Contribute to testing standards, technical documentation, code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Explore AI-assisted testing tools, validating generated tests and outputs for accuracy, reliability and maintainability.
- Promote a quality-first culture throughout the software development lifecycle.
