Requirements:
- Several years of experience in network security, firewall engineering, or SSE operations
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security platforms (Palo Alto, F5, Zscaler or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of next-generation firewalls, segmentation, and secure network design
- Experience with VRF-based network zoning and high availability architectures
- Solid troubleshooting skills using packet capture and traffic analysis tools
- Understanding of core networking protocols (OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with secure connectivity technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, GRE)
- Basic scripting knowledge for automation is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain enterprise firewall and network security infrastructure
- Support the design and validation of secure network architectures and application flows
- Analyze, assess, and approve network security change requests based on risk and impact
- Monitor security logs and investigate potential unauthorized access or anomalies
- Support global maintenance activities and controlled infrastructure changes
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure secure operations
- Contribute to delivery of security and infrastructure projects within defined timelines
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using packet capture and network traffic analysis
- Ensure network security services meet reliability, performance, and compliance standards
- Support continuous improvement of security operations and network architecture
