Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor IT services and data flow solutions within the area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with agreed SLA parameters.
- Monitor system availability, performance and operational health, proactively identifying potential issues and improvement opportunities.
- Define and maintain monitoring alerts and thresholds to support proactive intervention and minimize service downtime.
- Analyze incidents and problems affecting IT data flows, identify root causes and implement or recommend appropriate solutions.
- Resolve assigned incidents and service requests within agreed SLA timelines, minimizing business impact and downtime.
- Develop, test, implement and continuously improve operational procedures for system monitoring, incident handling and service failures.
- Support high-impact incident management according to established internal procedures and escalation processes.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and Data Squads to investigate incidents, improve service levels and ensure effective cross-team cooperation.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including planned and unplanned system switchovers.
- Participate in technical, performance, availability, volume and failure testing for IT systems and platforms.
- Install and configure platforms and solutions within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Support deployments and promote changes across test, pre-production and production environments according to approved change requests.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and recommend technical or operational enhancements.
- Maintain technical documentation and the team’s Knowledge Base.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT procedures, security requirements and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with ETL methodologies and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Good knowledge of PL/SQL and scripting.
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of IT security and operational procedures.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in an SLA-driven environment.
- Background in Banking or Telecommunications is considered a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or other ETL tools is beneficial.
- Good understanding of Data Mart concepts and environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, or Linux systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting solutions would be beneficial.
- Exposure to production support, incident management, or IT service management is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes is considered a plus.
