Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in our Cluj-based innovation center. As part of our Quality Engineering team, you will be instrumental in creating high-level test scenarios, producing and maintaining automation test scripts, executing tests, and providing insightful analysis. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the enhancement of our cutting-edge technology solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-level test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Create, update, and manage automation test scripts within established frameworks.
  • Execute automation scripts, analyze results, and investigate failures.
  • Design and execute manual test cases in ALM Octane.
  • Conduct manual exploratory testing as required to uncover potential issues.
  • Provide meticulous analysis of testing outcomes, ensuring accurate defect logging and management.
  • Ensure seamless traceability of tests to requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, reporting progress to your manager.
  • Raise and discuss project-related issues in meetings to facilitate effective resolution.
  • Maintain auditable test assets in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Define requirements for necessary environment data, resources, and tools.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development or testing environment.
  • 2 years or more of hands-on experience in Python, Java, or a similar language.
  • Proven experience in testing APIs.
  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Test is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effective communication skills to align with Quality Engineering Practice and project requirements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant product updates/releases.
  • Working knowledge of Microfocus toolset.
  • Familiarity with CI and associated tools, such as Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of Cloud technologies.
  • Strong grasp of testing methodologies and principles.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using tools for change control, risk assessment, and issue tracking.
  • Expertise in focused and precise data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in programming languages.
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of object-oriented development approaches.
  • Strong software application skills (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Document creation and maintenance capabilities.
  • Resilience and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Familiarity with ISTQB and Agile principles.
