Together with our colleague, we dived into the fascinating world of artificial intelligence with our comprehensive workshop, "Machine Learning 101: Introduction to Neural Networks." This beginner-friendly session was designed to demystify the complex concepts of machine learning and provide a solid foundation in neural networks, the cornerstone of modern AI. Participants had the opportunity to:
- Understand the Basics: Learn the fundamental principles of machine learning, including essential terminology, types of learning (supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement), and the role of data in training models.
- Construct Neural Networks: Get hands-on experience in building a simple neural network from scratch, covering key components such as input layers, hidden layers, output layers, weights, and biases.
- Explore Learning Mechanisms: Discover how neural networks learn, including the roles of neurons, layers, and activation functions, and understand how they mimic the human brain to process and learn from data.
This workshop not only provided foundational knowledge but also equipped participants with practical skills to begin their journey in machine learning.
