Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
- Previous experience as a Technical Writer, ideally with CAD software or technical applications.
- Knowledge of CAD programs such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar is a strong plus.
- Experience with help authoring tools (e.g., RoboHelp or similar).
- Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, and MS Office.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear, user-oriented documentation.
- Fluent in English (German or other languages are an advantage).
- Team player with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain help systems, manuals, and online documentation for CAD applications across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS).
- Write clear, concise, and user-friendly instructions that help customers easily understand and use CAD functionalities.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA, and UI/UX teams to gather information and present new features accurately.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of all technical content, following documentation standards and style guidelines.
- Adapt content for different audiences (from beginners to advanced CAD users).
- Continuously improve documentation based on user feedback and testing results.
- Support international teams by providing documentation aligned with localization requirements (English, German, etc.).
- Contribute to knowledge base articles, tutorials, and FAQs to improve customer support efficiency.
